Venidera has recently attended the XXIII SNPTEE, which is one of the biggest conferences in the area of electric power in Brazil. During this event, our team of researchers (which includes members from Venidera, Unicamp, USP and Princeton University) has published an introducing paper regarding the SMART-SEN project, which main goal (among many others) is to evaluate many technical aspects regarding the huge penetration of intermittent energy sources in the Brazilian power grid. This paper was granted as the third best paper to be presented under the topic of “Commercialization, economy and regulation of electric power”.

About the Author: Marcos Leone Filho
Marcos undergraduated as a Mechanical Engineer at the State University of Campinas (Unicamp) in 2002 where he also obtained his masters (2006) and Ph.D. (2012) degrees. Moreover, in 2013 Marcos worked as post-doc researcher at Princeton University (NJ, USA) in the ORFE department. He has experience in Electrical Engineering, with special focus on Power Systems, acting on the following research fields: planning, control, dynamic simulations and non-linear systems modeling.
